Responsibilities

• Operation of a gas-powered backpack blower and various tools, i.e., shovels, scrapers etc.

• Driving between various locations throughout the city.

Qualifications:

• No experience is necessary, but it would be an asset. We will train

• Must be physically fit

• Able to work long shifts

• Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment

• Must have a valid Class 5 driver's license

• Be available for night shifts, including weekends

• Be able to work independently or as part of a team

Supplemental Pay:

• Overtime at time and a half

Schedule:

• 8 to 12-hour shifts

• Night work Monday to Friday and weekends

Responsibilities:

• Maintaining accurate documentation, including but not limited to safety reports and hours.

• Maintain/clean equipment, conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs as required.

• Operate specialized sweeping equipment, including winter equipment, as trained and required.

• Available to respond to changes in schedule.

• Great customer service skills, being a team player and good communication skills are a must.

• Being punctual is an asset, as well as being organized.

Requirements:

• Mechanically inclined

• Class 5 with Q or Class 3 license with clean driver abstract

• Previous experience in Street Sweeping operations and winter operations is an asset

• Ability to work flexible hours and long shifts

• Appreciation for a high level of efficiency and quality work

• Ability to communicate effectively with solid writing skills

• Ability to work shift work and be on call on a regular basis

• Able to work in all types of weather and temperatures

Responsibilities:

• Washing and cleaning fleet of vehicles

• Clean up in the shop

• Picking up parts

• Labouring at off-site locations as required

• Assisting mechanics and operators with daily maintenance and repairs

Qualifications:

• Experience is preferred but not required. Training will be provided to qualified applicants.

• Punctual and reliable.

• Should be physically fit.

• It must be mechanically inclined. Know your way around tools and general repair.

• Valid Class 5 driver’s license (MUST).

• Your strong attention to detail will ensure driver satisfaction. You take pride in performing maintenance and repairs in an efficient and professional manner.

• You are able to work independently or as part of a team.

• Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.
